City Day - May 24, 25.

City Day this year will be celebrated on May 24 and May 25. This year, St. Petersburg will celebrate its 311th birthday.

May 24 at noon on the steps of St. Isaac's Cathedral, a choral concert with 4.5 thousand participants will take place. Last year, the concert came in the Book of Records of Russia and the CIS.

On May 25 at 5 pm starts "Dancing Nevsky": about 4 thousand dancers aged 10 to 35 years simultaneously perform several dances on the main street. A flash mob will cover the area from Sadovaya to the Moika Embankment.

From 11:00 to 17:00 in all theaters declared "Open Day" - the audience can get behind the scenes, and from 11:00 to 21:00 townspeople can enjoy ice cream at the festival on Ostrovsky Square.

At 21:00 on Palace Square will begin a concert featuring stars of opera and theater Boris Eifman.

Some festivities will begin in a couple of days before. From May 23 to 25 will be held the festival "St. Petersburg - an open book " on Malaya Sadovaya street and Manezh Square, and on May 24-25 Malaya Konnushenaya street will have a market.
