The station was closed from January 5, 2013 until November 14, 2013 and caused most passengers to take other methods of transport or to go to Chernaya Rechka station or Gorkovskaya station.

The waterproofing, an improved drainage system of groundwater, as well as modernized escalators and a renovated the lobby, are some of the changes that took place over the past 10 months of renovations in the metro station.

There was a big incident beginning in October as there was a fire in the station that was eventually put out on the same day. Because of this, traffic was blocked on the blue-line of the St. Petersburg subway.
